finally re-released on CD so as to make you go eff nuts with rock'n'roll excitement?? This is one of mine: Twisted Sister's "Cousin" band and this then 'Strictly metal'head's intro to NY city punk.

I'm so stoked to be having this blasting into my brain again I can't tell you!

'Handsome' Dick Manitoba !!!
My favorite obscure album is probably the MC5. The motor city is burning, baby. Oh !! If you can ever find an album by a group called Rhinoceros, grab it immediately. They had a killer twin guitar lineup feauturing the legendary Danny Weiss and the drummer was from the Mothers, but damned if I can remember his name. I saw them at the Fillmore East in about '68 on the same bill as John Mayall and the Moody Blues.

and Mark Mendoza (of Twisted Sister fame) played bass!
Dictators rock!!
as for obscure recods...
there was this kinda tchno/goth/new wave group back in the 80's called Specimen.
I only ever heard one ep, but the song "Returning from a Journey" sticks in my head to this day.
I've never seen the ep since the 1st time.

I originally had "Album" by Public Image Limited and had the damnest time finding it on CD... years later I discovered it was called "Compact Disc"... and the posters for the tour say "Poster".
I love this album because of the Raw Johnny Rotten Punk combined with Guitar by Steve Vai.
